On May 13, 2026, Blue Matter convened 27 senior leaders from across the greater Boston / Cambridge biopharma community for an evening of focused dialogue at the Harvard Faculty Club. This invitation-only event brought together CEOs, Chief Strategy Officers, heads of business development, commercial leaders, and senior R&D executives from a diverse cross-section of the industry, including emerging biotechs, established mid-cap companies, and large pharmaceutical organizations.
The evening opened with a reception, followed by dinner and a brief presentation by Pankaj Oza (Managing Partner, Blue Matter London) on the current state of play in the biopharma industry. Five Blue Matter Partners then helped to facilitate structured discussions across the topics that participants identified as most consequential to their organizations in the current environment:
- Commercialization and Go-to-Market Strategy
- Policy
- Program Development and R&D
- Partnering and Funding
- Pricing and Market Access.
This document captures the questions explored, the perspectives shared, and the key takeaways from each of the five discussion areas. It is intended as a reference for participants and a record of the collective thinking that emerged from the evening.
