Blue Matter wishes everyone a very happy Women’s History Month – this is an opportunity to discover, document, celebrate and respect women’s lives and achievements.

At Blue Matter, we support an inclusive and intersectional feminist work environment where women have the freedom, recognition, and right to be their own powerful selves. We are observing Women’s History Month through events and features curated by the Blue Matter Women’s Initiative, including:

  • Our monthly “Path to Blue Matter” speaker series, founded and hosted by Ivan Hsiao-Suignard and Muriel Fisser, which is intended to amplify the stories of our diverse leaders and enable the broader team to learn from their career paths and experiences. This month, we’ll be hearing from Hajar Masri, an Associate Principal in London
  • The “Women’s Leadership Monthly Debrief” founded and led by Kristin Talsky to encourage continued conversation around the Path to Blue Matter series as part of our distributed mentorship model
  • A social media showcase of some of our many female leaders and their accomplishments and advice, developed by Bridget Dougherty and Kathryn Acheson
  • #IAmRemarkable, an initiative that empowers women and other underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond, led by Andreea Cretu

We are proud to commemorate this month and to do our part to elevate the voice and presence of all women, starting with those at Blue Matter.

Below are two quotes that, for our team, set the tone for this month of reflection and action:

“Don’t spend life daydreaming about ‘what could be’. Invest your energy in what is right in front of you and see how it can be cultivated into something meaningful.” – Aisha Bowe, Co- Founder & CEO, STEMBoard

“We must have perseverance, and above all, confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.” – Marie Curie, pioneering physicist and chemist
