Situation
The Medical team at a top-tier biotech company wanted detailed disease dossiers for multiple hematological cancers to serve as a scientific resource for Medical Affairs and Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs).
Action
We began by identifying the specific scientific needs of Medical Affairs and MSLs. This involved pressure-testing their current materials and resources. We leveraged the insights gained to incorporate into the new deliverables. We settled on a modular format and synthesized information from a range of sources in the dossiers, including scientific publications, syndicated reports, competitive intelligence reports, ad board findings, conference presentations, and more. Finally, we customized the dossiers to be usable for a variety of needs including onboarding new MSLs, educating and training MSLs on current and future treatment options, preparing for customer interactions, etc.
Results
The documents served to onboard, educate and train Medical Affairs roles, particularly MSLs, on disease fundamentals, clinical landscape, the latest insights, and strategic considerations. This also equipped MSLs to serve as trainers for non-medical functions.
